Following the announcement about the closure of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme (LCBP), the NIE SMART programme will continue to offer £400 for solar water heating installations in Northern Ireland.  The new grant will be valid for applications received from 3 June 2010 - the information (including a new application form) will be available from www.nie-yourenergy.co.uk<http://www.nie-yourenergy.co.uk/> .

As with other grants from the NIE SMART programme, this will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

  Energy Efficiency Homes Scheme

 

 

Owner- Occupiers who bring their homes up to modern standards of insulation can apply for a one—off rebate

 

• £150 if you spend over £300 on either cavity wall or loft insulation

 

• £75 if you spend £100- £299.99 on Loft Insulation

Low Carbon Homes Scheme

 

The first owner- occupier of a newly built zero or low carbon home

(Completed after April 2010) may apply for 100% rate relief.

 

• Full rate relief is available for up to five years for a zero carbon home

 

• Full rate relief is available for up to two years for a low carbon home
