Our client in Mayobridge, Co. Down decided that he wanted clear and honest advice about installing a Solar Hot Water Heating System to generate free hot water for his family. NuTech Renewables provided a detailed costing of our tailor-made system, which included parts and labour, and were also able to advise the client that he was entitled to claim a government grant towards the cost of installing the solar panels.
Savings
He applied for a grant and once he received the grant offer letter, a 30 tube Thermomax system was installed in his home and connected to a hot water cylinder. The installation took just over a day to complete. As his house was pre-existing the client was re-assured to discover that there was no need for any structural adaptation, and that no planning permission was required. Building control though had been informed however that the work was to take place, as this is the law in Northern Ireland.

The client has been extremely pleased with the system’s performance which is meeting a large majority of the family's annual hot water needs.
