Additional funding for solar water heating (limited offer)
Funding has been secured for an additional 75 household solar water heating grants. Power NI anticipate receiving more than 75 applications therefore Power NI will carry out a draw on 7 October 2011 to select the 75 applicants.
• Grant applications which were received after the closure of the previous round of funding on 4 August will not be counted. Only applications dated from 26 September will be considered.
• Grants will not be transferrable between applicants.
• Powerni will NOT accept hand delivered or emailed grant applications – any hand delivered or emailed applications will not be processed.
• Any posted grant applications which arrive after last post on 6 October will not be considered.
• Applications from new builds will NOT be accepted.
• Systems must be installed, commissioned and grants claimed by 13 January
2012 otherwise there is a risk of the grant not being paid.
• Applicants who aren’t successful will receive a letter informing them of Power
NI’s decision.
• Power NI reserve the right to refuse applications.
• Please note that with anticipated demand during this time, powerni will not be able to deal with telephone or email enquiries. Installer queries will not be accepted.
• Grant applications which are received without an MCS quotation will not be considered.
• Grant applications will not be processed until after the closing date of 6 October
2011. Successful applicants will be notified on or before 18 October 2011.
• Power NI are conscious that some applicants will be disappointed that they won’t be receiving a grant from Power NI but we hope that they understand that funding is limited and that local Government are consulting on a long term support mechanism for renewable heating technologies, the Renewable Heat Incentive.
